The recent report by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), a UN agency, rings a warning bell for the world, especially Asia, regarding the impacts of climate change. According to its report, 2023 stands out as the hottest year on record for nearly all Asian countries. This alarming trends accompanied by worsening heatwaves and increased rates of flooding, primarily attributed to the melting of 20 out of 22 mountain glaciers across Asia.
