Parachinar: Convoy Carrying Relief Goods Attacked Again in Kurram

Another attack on a convoy carrying relief goods in Kurram has been reported. Armed miscreants opened heavy fire on the vehicles and looted the aid supplies, raising concerns over security in the region.
According to the district administration, a convoy comprising 130 vehicles, including five oil tankers, departed from Thall. However, it came under attack once again in Lower Kurram. Despite the firing incident, the authorities have instructed the convoy to proceed towards its destination.
Government sources revealed that the convoy was ambushed at Char Khel in Lower Kurram, where several vehicles were targeted and looted. Reports suggest that the attackers engaged in heavy firing, disrupting the relief efforts. At least 40 vehicles were en route from Thall to Parachinar when the attack occurred.
Meanwhile, the operation to demolish illegal bunkers in Kurram continues. The Deputy Commissioner confirmed that 183 bunkers have been demolished so far, emphasizing that the peace agreement will be fully implemented to restore stability in the area.
On the other hand, police officials stated that the convoy also came under fire in Uchit and Dad Qamar areas of Lower Kurram. Another convoy of 64 vehicles had departed from Thall when the attack took place, further intensifying security concerns in the conflict-prone region.
Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and have assured that necessary measures will be taken to ensure the safety of aid convoys and civilians in the area.
