I am from a family where parents are the roots that ground me,
and the wings that let me soar.
Where I am free to make my own choices,
and where each effort counts.

I am from the lifeboats,
where siblings celebrate your growth and success.
Where sisters share a bond of love and care,
and brothers boast of your achievements.

I am from the garden,
where every flower blooms with equal care.

Where a father is the flame that burns himself
so his children may shine brighter.
Where he parts with his only assets
so his children may walk into the halls of prestigious institutions
to learn and grow.

I am from the answered prayers—
where I thank Allah with every breath,
for blessing me with a family—
a fortune that makes me the luckiest of souls.
